Week of Wise Words
“The Meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – Pablo Picaso
Pablo Picaso gifted the world with amazing creativity and perspective through his art work. Even if we are not artists, like Mr. Picaso, we all possess a special talent or ability. Our job is to figure out the best way to share it with the world.
Don’t cutting off your ear in your attempts to find the best way to serve your fellow man, but do give in a way that is beyond your normal efforts.
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
If you possess strong organizational skills, volunteer at a local food pantry or help put together a rummage sale to raise funds for a local charity. If you have a musical talent, dedicate your sound to those in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility. If you are crafty, make goods to donate to local raffles or the country store at parish picnics. If your only talent is washing dishes, the local soup kitchen or chili supper fundraiser would be elated to have your services.
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
Our world is diverse and wondrous because of gifts celebrated and shared.
Give your gift of intent and purpose, and positive energy will flourish in the brush strokes creating the work of your life.
