Happy Haiku Day and other imaginary holidays

Happy Haiku Day and other imaginary holidays

For one full decade
students have written poems
Haikus for my class

It has become known
as our Happy Haiku Day
an annual feast

Composing outdoors
Nature inspires writers
Haikus flow freely

Happy Haiku Day!
Invent your own holiday.
Spark new tradition.

Intend your purpose
to share energy kindly.
Inspire new joy.
