The Big Deal About Bargains
This morning was like any other morning. I pieced together what I would wear based on what was clean and trying to not duplicate any other outfits worn previously this week. The outfit in the image is what I chose.
Much to my surprise, many of my colleagues and students complimented me on my attire. It made me feel good to know that my appearance was pleasing, but the most exciting part was that I got to tell them how every item I had on was a bargain find. The pants and necklace were both $5.00 finds at Walmart. The cardigan a $7.50 Old Navy.com deal. My shoes were Payless clearance and my blouse was purchased in a 2-for-1 deal at the Loft outlet store.
Pride for my purchases inspired today’s post.
Bargain deals are fun to find and even more enjoyable to share. Some bargains are lucky finds but most we have to work or dig for.
Today take the time to dig for the good in your surroundings. Look for the unexpected and find value in the simple pleasures that reveal themselves to you. Share your excitement for the good that you find with those around you.
If you intend to find greatness, it will reveal itself to you readily. Put your purpose into being pleased about the world around you, and you are sure to get more than you bargained for.
